I'm a terrible blogger ..LOL

I just do not know what it is about me and blogging. But I seem to have a huge problem. Every year about this time I start to blog. Then it never fails, I stop and forget all about blogging until nearly a whole year passes. What is my problem. I want to have a blog, but I'm just completely awful at keeping it up to date. Once again I am going to TRY..hmmm, hmmm to do better. We will see how long it lasts. So my fellow bloggers (okay let's face it I don't even qualify to call myself a blogger, but anyway) let's hope I can do better for the rest of the year and the year to come.. Time will tell.

Here is a picture of my beautiful girl.. Since I blogged last we have had braces and got them removed. Look at that beautiful smile..

Also since my last blog. My brother and his wife had a baby. She is now 7 months old.. See I told you I'm bad at this.. Here is a picture of our little Sweetie Pea :)

Don't you just want to squeeze those sweet baby cheeks?? She stayed with her Aunt Teeny this afternoon. She was giving me all kinds of sweet sugar. It was so cute. I was singing to her and she would grab my face and give me smooches over and over.. They were slobbery, but wonderful :)
God has blessed me with a wonderful daughter and wonderful neice. I'm so happy to be a Mommy & an Aunt.. I love them soo much.. I am truly blessed.

Meeting Valerie Tripp

Here is my sweet daughter Katie with her favorite author Valerie Tripp. She says this was the best day ever.
We had a great time. First that Friday we went to a wonderful local farm with our homeschooling group. Then we headed out to Indian Creek Youth Camp for a great lecturship from Apologetics Press on Christian Evidences. Then after lunch on Sat. we headed to Georgia. We had a great time as a family and great time with friends..
On Sunday afternoon we got to meet Valerie Tripp. She was wonderful. Before meeting her I was a little worried. She is Katie's favorite author and I didn't know what to expect (how would she act, would she live up to Katie's expectations, Would this meeting leave Katie upset or happy). I was blown away. She took so much time talking to Katie, telling her about her process of writing. Some of her stories from childhood that influenced her books. Telling about some of her family that influenced her books. She sat and let us take pictures, ask questions and even gave Katie her email address. And can you believe she even takes the time to email Katie back and answer her questions. Wow! What an amazing lady. I have a child who loves her favorite author even more and I'm a happy mom. Katie has always loved reading. I'm so proud all my concerns were unfounded and she left Katie with even a greater appreciation for books.
